Yes. You don't need to own websites that you scan with BotScope. All of our tooling is considered passive reconnaissance, which means we request the same data that's normally sent by the website in a typical request.

No. BotScope is passive and non-destructive. It sees what any crawler or automated browser session sees. We're working on a separate product offering for more extensive penetration testing that would require a SOW/RoE.

Scans originate from a fixed set of BotScope's datacenter IPs. In the near future, BotScope will offer the ability to originate requests from residential IP addresses.
